EndoManager® Endoscopy imaging and reporting, from the endoscope to the health record

EndoManager is NewCura's endoscopy software family. EMS stores, views and routes procedure images. Image Capture (EndoManager 4, or EM4) records HD stills and video from the endoscope. Report Writer (EndoManager 3, or EM3) produces structured GI endoscopy reports. Use one, two or all three. NewCura has built endoscopy software since 1999, and it runs in 500+ facilities.

One product, three workflows

EndoManager EMS

This is the imaging core of EndoManager®. EMS pulls orders and patient details from your EHR. It collects stills and video from DICOM devices and EM4 stations, stores them, and sends each image where it needs to go: the procedure note, Epic Gallery, a PACS or a VNA. It's listed on Epic Showroom as "EndoManager EMS by NewCura" in the Endoscope Data Capture category.

Image Capture: EndoManager 4 (EM4)

EM4 is the capture station at the tower. It records HD stills and MPEG-4 video from any visible-light scope or camera with a video output. On supported processors it also trades patient details and scope serial numbers with the processor. EM4 sends everything to EMS, or straight to a PACS, a VNA or Epic Gallery.

Report Writer: EndoManager 3 (EM3)

EM3 handles structured GI reporting and coding. Physicians point and click through a structured procedure note, then sign it electronically. The finished report goes to the EHR over HL7 as a PDF plus text, and GIQuIC is supported. Sites that document in Epic Lumens usually don't need EM3.

Which do I need?

If you…Start with
Use Epic Lumens and want images in the procedure noteEMS, plus EM4 in rooms whose equipment can't send DICOM. For most devices, video recording uses EM4; some devices, such as PENTAX INSPIRA and Ambu, can send MPEG-4 video directly by DICOM.

Works across your equipment and systems

EndoManager works across scope brands and procedure areas: GI and pulmonary endoscopy, ENT, speech pathology (FEES), urology, bronchoscopy, pain management and more. It connects to EHRs by HL7, and to PACS and VNA systems by DICOM. See integrations →
