EndoManager® EMS For every procedure image and video
Bring in images and video from any DICOM camera or device, manage them in a clean, easy-to-use viewer, and make them available in your EHR, PACS or VNA.
What is EndoManager EMS? EndoManager EMS is NewCura's product for endoscopy and other visible-light procedures. It accepts images from any DICOM-capable camera or device, gives your team one simple place to review, label and fix them, and then sends them automatically to Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner), MEDITECH, or any PACS or VNA. EMS stores images itself, so you don't need to buy an archive to go live. "EndoManager EMS by NewCura" is available in Epic Toolbox in the Endoscope Data Capture category.

How EMS works
- Accept. Cameras and devices send images to EMS over DICOM, already matched to the right patient and order.
- Manage. Your team reviews, labels and corrects that media in one easy web viewer.
- Deliver. EMS makes the images available in your EHR, PACS or VNA, automatically.
Accept: images from any DICOM camera or device
EMS is vendor neutral. If a camera, video processor or other imaging device speaks DICOM, it can send to EMS, with no capture PC needed in the room.
- A worklist for every room. EMS serves a DICOM Modality Worklist to the device. Staff pick the patient instead of typing demographics, and every image is tied to the right order from the start.
- Images and video in, stored. Devices send images by DICOM C-STORE or C-MOVE. EMS also accepts MPEG-4 video over DICOM from any device that sends it that way.
- Every procedure area. GI and pulmonary endoscopy, bronchoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound, ENT, speech pathology (FEES), urology, pain management, the operating room and other visible-light procedures.

Equipment that doesn't support DICOM? Add Image Capture (EndoManager 4) at the tower, and it feeds EMS the same way.
Compatibility depends on equipment model, software version and site configuration. Your NewCura team confirms every room before quoting. See supported equipment →
Manage: one easy place for every image and video
The EMS viewer is built to be quick to learn and pleasant to use, so staff spend less time hunting for images and more time on patients.
- Find any study fast by patient, procedure or date.
- Label and annotate images, and print them when you need a copy.
- View and edit video right in the browser.
- Fix mistakes in one place. If images land on the wrong patient or two exams get mixed together, staff correct it in EMS.
- Web-based. Open it from any workstation on your network. Nothing to install on each PC.
Deliver: available in the EHR, PACS and VNA your team already uses
EMS sends images on automatically. You choose the destinations, and you can send to more than one.
| Destination | How EMS delivers |
|---|---|
| Epic | Images to Epic Gallery (HL7 MDM or Gallery file sweep) and the Epic Lumens procedure note. Epic → · Epic Gallery → |
| Oracle Health (Cerner) | Orders in by HL7; images sent directly to Cerner by batch prep. Oracle Health → |
| MEDITECH, including Expanse | Orders in by HL7; images to the record as a PDF over HL7 or a cold-feed PDF drop. MEDITECH → |
| PACS and VNA | DICOM C-Store, C-Move and Storage Commitment, to one archive or several. PACS and VNA → |
No PACS or VNA? You don't need one. EMS stores images itself. If you already have an archive, EMS sends to it as well.
