EndoManager® 3 Structured GI-specific endoscopy reports integrated with your EHR
EndoManager 3 (EM3) is NewCura's report writer: a structured report generation tool for GI endoscopy reporting and coding. Physicians point and click through a structured procedure note to quickly generate a complete post-op procedure note. The note is electronically signed and sent to the EHR over HL7, typically as a PDF plus the report text. For image capture and Epic Lumens integration, see EMS and Image Capture (EM4).

Who Report Writer is for
- Sites replacing their endoscopy report writer, including organizations moving off endoPRO®.
- Facilities where the EHR isn't carrying the reporting load. If your physicians already document procedures in Lumens, you probably don't need EM3; EndoManager EMS with EM4 sends images straight into the Lumens note.
- Practices, ASCs and health systems that want a GI-specific report writer, with one support number. Cerner enterprise sites often choose EM3 for this.
What physicians get
- Built for GI endoscopy. A structured report generation tool specific to GI endoscopy reporting and coding.
- Point and click to a complete note. Physicians click through a structured procedure note and quickly generate a complete post-op procedure note.
- Templates and favorites. Template-based procedure notes, with physician-specific favorites and templates.
- Voice dictation. Works with third-party dictation tools: place the cursor and dictate.
- Suggested ICD-10 and CPT codes based on the physician's findings and procedures, to cut time spent on coding.
- Electronic signature. The physician signs the finished note electronically.
Where the report goes
- Into your EHR. Signed reports go to the EHR over HL7, typically as a base64-encoded PDF plus the raw report text.
- Images to your PACS. EM3 sends images to a PACS by DICOM.
- To the referring physician, by fax.
Quality reporting
- Quality metrics such as cecum withdrawal time, polyp detection rate and callback reports, reviewable without exporting data.
- GIQuIC. GIQuIC registry reporting in EM3 is active and supported.
Switching from your current report writer
Moving reporting is as much about history as about the new templates. NewCura's data migration team maps historical reports and images from your current system, migrates them, and validates the result before your physicians rely on it. Many sites run old and new in parallel for a defined period, with the old system read-only.
