EndoManager® EMS server requirements
EMS runs on Windows Server, on-premises or in your own Microsoft Azure tenant. The application and database roles can run on one server or on two, depending on your policies and size. NewCura recommends a single server for single-facility health systems, and separate application and SQL servers for multi-facility systems. A matching test environment is recommended.

- Image storage: 1 TB or more, sized to your archiving plan, usage and growth. Network-attached storage (NAS) is supported in place of storage attached to the application server. NewCura helps size it.

Encryption at rest with Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) is supported in SQL Server 2022 Standard and Enterprise editions. TDE is configured and managed by the customer. Developer edition is for test only. NewCura needs the DB owner role for support.
- Azure: runs on the latest Windows Server version Azure supports, using Azure Virtual Network, Backup and Site Recovery.
- Network: Ethernet, 100 Mbps minimum recommended, with firewall configuration.
- Customer responsibilities: server security (firewalls, antivirus, updates), backups and disaster recovery, and monitoring.
- Windows Server: 2016+
