Endoscope reprocessing tracking
Last updated .
A tracking record should name the scope, the place, and the step. ScopeCycle is NewCura's product for that record.
What the record should show
For each scope, you want an identifier, the cabinet or room it left, the procedure it was used in, and the reprocessing steps that brought it back.
If a step is not recorded, say so. A blank is more useful than a guessed time.
Loaner and shared scopes
Loaner scopes arrive without your usual history. The record should show when the loaner entered, which sites or rooms used it, and when it left.
Shared scopes need the same trail. The point is to answer where this scope has been, not to publish a utilization ranking.
What an audit asks for
An auditor asks for a sample of scopes and the steps between patients. Export that sample. Do not rebuild it from memory.
ScopeCycle is the product NewCura offers for this trail. Ask us for details for your setup.

Not on this page. Ask NewCura what the current ScopeCycle build records before you write it into a policy.
