What to plan before an endoscopy data migration

Last updated .

List the records you have, decide which ones must move, rehearse the cutover, and check a sample after go-live. Vendor-specific notes live on the migration pages. This guide does not say another vendor's product has been discontinued.

Inventory what you have

Count studies, reports, and scope records separately. Note the oldest date you still need to open, and who is allowed to open it.

Keep patient identifiers inside your own systems. Send NewCura a description of the archive, not a sample that contains a medical record number or a date of birth.

Decide what moves

Some sites move images, some move reports, and some keep the old archive read-only. Write that choice down before a quote.

Pages for a specific prior system live under Migration. Those pages describe a process. They are not a claim that the prior product has reached end of life.

Rehearse the cutover

Pick a quiet block, name the person who can roll back, and run one room before you run the department.

Support during the window is the same path as every other day: call 866.578.5713. Real people answer, 24/7/365. Urgent issues go to on-call staff.

Check a sample after go-live

Open a handful of old studies and a handful of new ones. Confirm the image, the report, and the patient context match what you expected.

Write down anything that did not move. A known gap is part of the plan.

Frequently asked questions

Where are the notes for a specific prior system?

We migrate from legacy systems; ask us about yours.

Will every historical study move?

Not by default. The inventory decides what must open on day one and what can stay in the old archive.
